Holley TBI, BBC injectors. Going to the junkyard right now to cut off a connector to splice in the right TPS connector. Here's one more pic.

Looks good. Do you think you would have the time to write up a tech article on the proper wiring of the IAC for this unit. I know it is tricky wiring the IAC differences between the 670 and 454 units.

Bron,

What do you expect out of this unit? I've seen a lot of these for sale online and have wondered about them.

Curious (as always),

Shifty, I didn't have to wire anything different with the IAC it just plugged right in. The TPS, I had to get a pre-round-style connector and splice it into my connector wires. Same color coding for both.

I've been working on it now for a while because the gaskets and o-rings were leaking so I had to get a rebuild kit. Now I'm trying to work out a throttle sticking issue. It isn't closing completely against the stop screw so it's idling high. Trying to work that out now.

I was just hoping to pick up maybe a little more top-end and since I have the Holley TBI intake I wanted the 2" bore TBI to match the 2" bores of the intake. It's really just to provide the extra flow I'll need later on.

Yep, that's the manifold. I've got some problems with the 670 that are realllly pissing me off right now. I'll let you guys know on the progress.

mine too cept i used a GM 7.4L TB. i have the wire schematic at home cept i have a 84 Vette wire harness and 1995 GM TB and replacement GM pigtails. the 1995 service manual for TBI truck was incomplete in wire diagram. we lucked out and nailed it first attempt(TPS and IAC). manifold came with throttle linkage and turned out to be non issue as well. manifold was instant improvement in drivability for me.

Yeah, got mine going pretty good now. Driveability is better, I no longer have a bog when I step into the throttle while it's cold, didn't think that would go away. I was getting a code for low TPS voltage, so I had to adjust that. The throttle was sticking a little before it closed completely so I took out the blades and shaved some material off the edges.

Now, it's running good and the only problem is that I no longer have enough fuel at WOT I think because it pulls hard at about 80% throttle but feels like it's breaking up at WOT. So that's a good sign I think, I'll dial in the fueling and we'll see how it goes.

I'm thinking of getting the holley projection manifold for my 305 but Summit mag says it will only work with the projection TB. Whats the deal with that? I wanted to keep the stock TB. Is this manifold any better than the edelbrock TBI manifold?

The Holley intake should work with all of the GM throttle body units.

Yeah I used teh stock TB without any problems for a while. Just have to do a little modification on installation just like any carb intake would be.
