I have just purchased my first TBI car. I have a TPI car in the garage but it is slightly broken.

Anyway here is my problem. The injectors do not fire. They have been tested with a noid light and nothing happens. Where do I need to start looking to fix this problem?

Just out of curiousity, what year is the car?

Anyway, first thing I'd do is check for spark. That can rule out a lot of possible things, either way.

He keeps saying 87 and I didn't think to check while I was there but I would bet it is an 88. (seller owns a used car lot and has several f-bodies of his own) I should have the car home this weekend so I can check it out better.

TBI wasnt released until 88 so it probably is an 88, unless someone swapped in the TBI

There are several things that will cause the injectors not to fire: Lack of power at the unswitched + side of the injector connectors, dead module, dead p/u coil, lack of DRPs from some other problem, dead injector drivers, wiring faults, bad grounds, just to name a few. Does the fuel pump come on when your cranking the engine? If no pump, then the problem is likely within the dist. itself. I even had a faulty ground due to a dirty dist. base that caused a no spark or fuel problem.

Well I got it started. It turned out to be a plug not plugged in on the ignition module.
