Fan Always On (even with key out)

Hey guys,

I did a small search and could find nothing on this, and i need to fix this problem asap. Today my friend and I were trying to hook up WinALDL so i could start datalogging, and when we were tyrying it, everything was fine (even w/ the key outa the car) but when I got home, i took the keys out and noticed the fans were still running!!! so i unplugged the fan and here I am.

I have no idea what could have happened while we were trying to get WinALDL to work (crossed wires, pluged wires into the wrong port) but im guessing that might have something to do with my fan. Any help would be appreciated. I have done a motor swap on my car (305 w/ no major mods) and I have a TBI. I am mechanically inclined, but as far as electrical problems, i always get stumped. Thanks in advance.

David H.

Well, whenever you go into diagnostic mode, the fan will always run.

Did you leave anything in the Diagnostic port to connect those two terminals?

I would disconnect the battery for 10-20 minutes, then reconnect it and see if that cures your issues.
