best way to clean out TBI system?

best way to clean out TBI system?
i have to replace my intake and i wanted to clean out my tbi while it was off, but i dont know anything about tbi, and was wondering if i could just take some carburator cleaner to it?! what would you recomend

Thatll work. You may want to try one of the cleaners designed to be used while the tb is still on the engine. Just soak it for awhile and brush clean.

I wouldn't soak the unit itself in anything unless you remove all of the sensors and such. You really only need some carb cleaner and a toothbrush. Clean out all of the vacuum passages on the bottom side of the unit. Make sure you keep the cleaner off of the IAC and TPS. If you do get some on the IAC make sure you wipe it down and put a small drop of clean oil on the pintle.
