car stalls at low rpm??
I've done a search but can't find the info I have a 88 camaro sportcoupe w/ 305/700r4 only mods are headers, flowmaster, and a open element. The car stalls when I try to backup and sometimes at a stoplight. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Any info is appricated.

i have the same car, and when i bought it at low rpms it ran light **** and stalled alot at stop signs and lights and such like you mentioned. all it was is the cat needed a good few wacks with a crow bar (after it was taken off the car of course to ream it out) after that she was a tire spinning gear chirping machine again. idk if you know anything about cats but if you take your cat off and look inside you will see like a kalydascope looking thing like a honeycomb. hold it up to the light and if you can see through it your good but if you cant see through most of it, your clogged and you ned a new caty or just ream it out and let the hydrocarbons flow! let me know what you find.
Try a performance caty if your gonna keep it legal, your headers are prob sending to much fuel and heat to the cat killing it, it can only handle so much before meltdown.
