what would you suggest for my motor?

its a 350 block bored .060 out. stock crank and rods, with forged flattop pistons 4 valve relief. hydraulic roller cam with 264 intake duration 270 exhaust duration. .494 lift (intake) .501 (exhaust). 882 heads 2.02/1.60 i believe? roller rockers, and edelbrock air gap manifold. my question is what should i do for induction? i have a holley 650 right now, everyone says i should run my tbi though. is it worth it to go and get all of the stuff i need, or just put the carb on?
if it is worth it what do i need to do to get my motor to run the best?
thanks
kent

Do you have an emissions requirement?

If not, I'd run the carb - way too hard (IMO) to get the computer chips tuned right for the TBI stuff (unless you can do it yourself, and have the time for hours of datalogging and chip burning.

I'd think it'll also be very hard to get it all to fit under the hood with the Air Gap intake AND a TBI adapter plate.

If slightly better throttle response and about 3 mpg is worth it to you then go for it. You will HAVE to learn to burn chips, no question about it. If you don't have a serious interest in being able to tune your car with a laptop, then forget it and run the carb.

TOO much cam for nearly stock 882s.

i do have emissions requirements, unfortunatly. carb would definitly be the easy, and cheap way to go. as far as getting everything to fit under the hood, i have a cowl.
fast 355 you really think that the cam is too big for my heads? sorry i also have a correction, my heads are 441, i have a set of 882s that i get confused.

The cam has too much lift for the stock style springs, the retainer and the valve seals will crash togather most likely. The cam also pushes the valve into regions that the port will never support. The duration is not huge, but the lift is. My cam has slightly more lift and I had to have my heads cut for it. They are clearanced for .575" now. I then heavily ported and flowed them.

You'll have to check with local emissions regs then - you may not be allowed to change to a carb there. Here in NC, we no longer have the sniff test on pre-1996 cars, but "technically" we have to maintain all OEM emissions and induction systems, so "by the book" I have to mainatin TBI.

i have my heads worked to take the cam, i got the valve springs that comp cams suggested, hardened seats and bronze valve guides. i had the spring seats cut for these valve springs. i would fail inspection with a carb, but i fail now with my tbi on it. this motor as it is will fail either way.

If you go with a smaller cam, stick to TBI and have it tuned you have a much better chance of not failing.

There will be more work and time involved to get it right, but you can pass the sniffer, and get the better gas mileage as well as appear to be closer to stock for a visual.
