do i have a TBI?
i know...dumb question...but every picture i have seen on here of TBI engines run a serpentine belt set-up. i have a '84 Z28 305 with a carb, but the engine uses seperate belts, so, do i have a TBI or is it just a carbed engine? and how can i check?

A previous owner could have added a serpentine set-up. Chances are this is what happened. To check just full off the air cleaner. If you see two injectors placed in a pod over the intake bores than you have TBI. It will also have "TBI" cast into the top of the unit.

This is a stock TBI serpentine set-up.

no, i have the seperate belts and not the serp set-up. i was wondering because all the pics of TBI set-ups i've seen on here use the serp set-up, and was wondering if it was possible to have a TBI with the regular v belt set-up...
