Throttle body spacer
I was reading a magazine and an advertisement came up about a throttle body spacer that can add up to 22 horsepower and 25 ft/lb of torque. I know these things do in fact add power but how much do they really add?
Btw they were $99

They don't add nearly that much power, plus you run into things like clearance issues with the hood and you need to modify your throttle bracket since it will be offset with the spacer. Not really worth the trouble.

They are right, i thought it would be easy, but after you get eveything all together the throttle line is at a weird angle, the fuel lines have a lot of stress on them, i took it off within a half hour of installation, i just didnt like it, the only thing that i thought it might have done was better throttle response, but putting my cars parts under stress like that isnt worth the throttle response to me, thanks!

Does not sound like this would be a good mod if all you are going to do is the spacer.
Now it might be worth the trouble if you are putting a lot of work in your engine and looking for every bit of power from the TBI.
I had thought of doing this, but am glad you guys have already went through the trouble, now I can avoid your mistake!

Damn if they really gace 22 lbs/ft of torque I'd order like five of them and stack them
I'm simply going to make my own, and make it around 1/2 inch, cheaper, easier
