Throttle Body, 4 Barrel?

Car: 1987 Chevy Stepside
Engine: 350 TBI w/ a Cam
Transmission: 3 Speed Stick w/ granny low
Throttle Body, 4 Barrel?
Caught eye of a 1000cfm 4 barrel throttle body. I am still new to the TBi scene (yes I used the search) and am not so good at picking the answers I need out of guides. I have read in places that over killing your TB will decrease performance and waste gas. If so anyone have a link to a suggested TB or mod suggestions to the stock TB?

The four barrel would definatly be overkill for most apps. A 2" tbi flows around 650 CFM, which should be good for most engines, and wont require any special hardware to use.
