I did a tb-rebuild 2 weeks ago,it`s not a complicated job.
Just buy a rebuild kit, take it apart, clean it well and assemble.
Take it easy when tightening the screws, aluminium threads are weak.

Hansen Racing,Stockholm. Not much of a help to you,I`m afraid.
Any decent parts shop in the US should have one,at about a third of the swedish prices or so.

I got a kit from autozone for arround 30 bucks. It had the fuel preassure regulator diaphragm the spring too. ALl the gaskets to re-build the top part of it.

You really don't need to re-build the bottom part of it (throttle blades etc.) I would buy new one, or get one from the JY if you need it. You can get the rest of the stuff you need in the autozone kit.
Also, I would recomend getting new injectors too. My friend showed me how to do it and it was very easy. Just pay attention of where the stuff goes.
When you fit it back on, make sure to check for leaks. If everything is ok, you are ready to go.

Just pay attention to how everything is removed and than put it back in the same way.

Good luck.

I just rebuilt mine yesterday. Got my kit from Advance for just under $40 and it came with everything. Kit comes with a pretty good diagram of how the TB goes together. As long as you keep all the parts organized when you take them out you shouldn't have a problem. Be careful to keep pressure on the regulator spring when replacing the diaphram.

Took me little over an hour and that was draggin around. Just take your time and don't worry about how long it takes, just about getting it right.

Any particular reason it needs rebuilt? Unless it's leaking there really isn't much to go wrong with a TB.

RUN!!!! don't walk RUN!!!!! away from that mechanic. You can get a brand new big bore Holley for way less than that. The actual throttle body unit is pretty simple, you have your throttle plates, injectors and IAC valve and thats it for moving parts. If the car is running, not leaking, and idling at a normal rpm then everything is fine. Let us know what's wrong with the car and we'll tell you where to look to fix it.

First off, find another mechanic.

I'm rebuilding mine this weekend just because I had a credit at the zone and I bought the kit..Just to freshen it up 200K on it so I will replace all gaskets and the inj rubbers and screens and the diaphram...and while I'm in there I'll make my fpr adjustable...just wish i had an inline guage.

When you take the TB off the car check the underside of the TB in all the vacuum routes and make sure none of the vacuum routes or vacuum hose connections on the front of the TB are clogged, Ive seen some really nasty clogged TB vacuum ports and routes.

Autozone kit , clean work area, and care when disassembling and you are in business for less than $50.00.

I bought a rebuild kit for my son's RS awhile back (he was 18 at the time). I was going to help him rebuild it the next weekend but when I came home from work the next day he'd already pulled his off, ground off some of the offending (to him anyway) ridges/air flow restrictions around the top of the TBI unit, torn it down, cleaned it up, rebuilt it, reinstalled it and test drove the car. He doesn't have a lot of experience either, but he got it done.

I had a throttle body rebuilt and the injectors ultrasound cleaned and rebuilt(137K miles and didn't need flow matching) for under 200.00 a couple of years ago.

Here's a good place that does excellent work and is very knowledgable. I've had several sets of injectors done by them. Their prices are pretty good also.

How bad is your TB shaft(s)? If they wooble, they need to be bushed because they are causing a vacuum leak, which will affect your idle.
