Sounds like something that happens when the tank is empty. Fill it up and see if it goes away.

Your gauge may not be reading correctly

I used to have this problem when my step-dad owned the car... I don't know how he fixed it, but it was an easy fix... I would have to hold the brake down and keep the car revved up when i needed to turn/stop

I think what he did was adjust the TPS up some, or something... when i was turning/slowing down, the car would die because of low rpm's. He is in Iraq right now, so i can't just call him and say "HEY!!!! YO! What's goin on?"

hope this helps some

Try changing your fuel filter. I had a problem simialr, it would jsut clunk out and all a sudden have no power but would still run, I would turn it off and then back on it it would be fine again. I changed that and nothing has happned since. Give it a try. I think it was like 10 bucks and took me 5 min and gas down my back to change. Good luck.

Edit: More likely, it could be an issue with the pump being mounted incorrectly, or a faulty gas gauge telling you that you have more gas then you do.

iv had this problem before and its your fuel pump. try replacing the black rubber hose on the fuel pump from time to time the get dry and crack and whats happening when make a hard turn or brake hard the fuel is being push to the sides or even the front and the fuel pump sucks air instead of fuel and you have the air going through your injectors and whitch will cause engine to miss and or die.

It was my gas gauge according to the gauge I was at 3/4 of a tank and it took almost 10 more gallons of gas.
