I have read in many signatures that a lot of people have TBI spacers. What do they do? How much do they cost? Where can I get one? Will they add horsepower? Are they hard to put on?

91 rs, convertible, K&N, Edelbrock open element cleaner, 3.73, B&M mega-shifter, goodmark cowl-induction hood

 

what size would i need to get. I think that anything taller than about a half inch would make my cleaner hit the hood. Or could i just get a smaller K&N? My cowl hood really isn't wide open above the cleaner because of the support beams on the hood.
