COLD cranking.
Ive been very happy this winter so far with my car. We had -14 degree low the other night that was -42 with the windchill + about 6inches of snow fell. All night my car sat, then in the morning she cranked over (the normal groaning turnover when your oil has turned back to solid coal, anyway) about 3 times and fired right up. Runs a little lopey when cold and gives a little miss i think till it warms up a little, but I have been amazed at its starting this winter so far.
2 years ago, completely stock. The car had troubles starting in colder temps, but idled normal even when frozen.
Anyway, what i am asking is if anybody knows why now, the cars cranks like new but idles funny, and before barely started but idled normal.
My thoughts are that maybe im rich now at idle since adjusting the fp and its allowing enough fuel to start right up, but then cant burn whats its receiving at idle when cold. Before i was at stock fp and barely started but had the right amnt of fuel at idle?
Does this sound right? Tell me, what settings on a chip and how much do you think id need to adjust, so that the car cranks and starts, and the idles fine too. the best of both worlds. how do i get it?

You are probably rich at idle, my man. Are you running an AF meter? Probably not because you wouldn't be asking the question.
My Jeep 350 TBI did that too with just a FP change. You gotta do some PROM work to get rid of it, just change the STARTUP AFR table, I think that's the table... and Open Loop AFR table, too. Have fun.
