Need Opinions Quickly....

I have the opportunity to buy a 1992 RS with an LO3 loaded for $1500. The only hitch is the tranny is bad. I'm not sure if it's a auto or 5 spd. What do you guys think...I'm going Thursday (Dec 14) to possibly buy it. Give me your opinions FAST!!!!!!!!!

Tim

if its in good condition then go for it. a tranny rebuild shouldt run over 1500 bucks (that might even be high) so figure what its worth with a good tranny and go from there.

How many miles? Nevertheless, very good deal, even better if its a T5. My 700R4 in my 2.8 cost me just under $800 to be rebuilt, add that to the price of the car and you paid less than I did for my L03 - $3000. I say go for it, then post some pics.

I'm unsure of the mileage but I think I'll go for it this afternoon. I know that it's "lady driven" and I've seen pics so from what I can tell the exterior is in good shape and it's teal green. Thanks for you opinions and keep 'em coming.

Well, like i said, a 92 rs with a nice body and good paint is worth 1500. So even if the entire drive train is bad you should go for it. Id like to see pics if you buy it.

But, make sure it hasnt been hurry painted, or just painted. Then all would have is a straight car. And maybe not. Get out your refridgerator magnent. Make sure its not a salvage title. Women drivin would scare me.
