Just Got the New 2001 Edelbrock catalog. They are making the Performer with an Air Gap design. Unfortunatly it isn't listed as being availablie for Vortec heads like the Air Gap RPM. Maybe they'll make one soon.
It's listed for $260 unpolished, or $403 polished. Pretty pricey! I don't know about you guys but a shiney intake isn't worth $140.

Why wouldn't you want the rpm air gap for the vortec heads? It only cost 219 and should work well on a mild 350 or hi po 305. What size engine are you going to put it on? Are you going to keep the stock tbi or go larger? Could make a differance.

I just got the RPM for now. I need to make it look as stock as possible and the air gap would be pushing it. The air gap is a great idea. Too bad then don't make one with EGR, lol. That way you could have the air gap to keep the intake cooler AND have the EGR to warm it up, what a cool idea!, lol
If edelbrock ever comes out with air gap and EGR they are going to HAVE to prove to me why.
