I know that I posted about this before, but I am just giving you guys an update. We took out the Gtech again and were hitting 14.1,14.0,13.9's consistantly today. Its about 45 degrees out here in MN and sunny. It feels like summer
well not quite. Anyways I know that I posted about his one before but I will be taking my car on up to the track to get some official time slips in May so I will get back with you guys then. I am still wondering though, with signifactly less mods why are we hitting low 14s with no problems? major question is it the gearing?

it prolly has a lot to do with the tanny gears. the gearing in a t56 is much closer together than in a t-5 so it maintains the power band a little better. it also has a first gear that is just as deep as the 700r4, so it will get moving really good. if you are hooking up good and yer car is fairly light it doesn't take much to run 13's.

Spyder, answer some of the questions please.
I'd like to hear what you get in the 1/4 at the track. I know Tim is doing really good with his reaction times and his car has lots of mods except for the L03 cam and TB unit. He has a really light car as well.

Sorry I was gone for a little bit from this pub. The heads are not the stock swirl port heads. To be honest I don't know exacally what they are. My buddy got them for me and his dad did the work on them. I think they are from a 80's vette.
Speeds I think where 100, 101 not sure. I blew out my water pump yesterday and just redid it today so I will hopefully be able to re-run some times and get the exacts for ya.
I had the T-5 in and then went to the T-56. Ripped out tranny, driveshaft and rear end all that the same time. Its not that hard of a swap but I got a new cross-member and mounts. Also did clutch, flywheel and all that stuff.

Sounds like a good setup. I'd be very interested in seeing your times at an actual track. If you could get better than Tim (nj speeder) then I'd be very interested in hearing what he's going to do next. You two are pushing each other and setting new standards. I like, too bad my L03 crapped out on me or I would be doing the same stuff as you guys. Instead I'm into the 350 world.

Too bad about your LO3, hell those guys will run forever. I think if you are going for power it is the way to go. But it is very fun to play with the 305s and I think they are great for daily drivers. I like being able to drive past a gas station and not have to fill up.
