Problem? I have a drop base the only thing is you have to use the spacer ring. That is the only problem I could think of

the add is outdated, you really cant change to an open element that easy. its much harder. i wrote it before i really did it. it actually requires welding and soldering and swapping expensive parts.

joke. if you cant put and open element on after your read that article, you should mail your license back to the state.

The tech article explains perfectly, I was able to do it in about 10 minutes with minimal automotive know how. I did find however that it is helpful to remount the IAT sensor. I mounted in through the punch out for the pcv breather. The sensor is being held in with a garden hose washer.

me and my dad whizzed through ours in about 10 minutes...we actually drilled out a hole for the IAT sensor and punched out the one for the PCV(we used old radiator hose and peices of PVC to re route the PCV to the front of the air cleaner) we actually brought the wrong air cleaner....it didn't fit down and around like the stock one but it rested firmly on top of the TBI unit......so in essence we got a 3/4 to an inch riser out of the deal too hehehe
