hey i bought a 89 rs camaro its a 5.0 with a 700r4 and the check engine light allways comes on and the code says

54- Shorted Mixture Control Solenoid circuit and/or
faulty ECM.

i changed the computer and no differences were is the mixture control solenoid? it does ping a little bit but other than that it runs like a top and has alot of power just sick of the light shining in my face

 

According to the chevy thunder website, 54 is a low voltage fuel pump code.

the fuel pump is ok tho it allways starts fine

 

Could be a loose fuel pump relay relay connection ...

 

could be and its just setting off the light throwing the code at me ill scope it out

 

ok a little bit of a long responce but it still comes on it bogs right before it comes on or if you bog it ill check the code tommorow
