Can a TBI work on an engine that makes 500 HP on a carb without loosing any power at all? Is there even a TBI unit big enough to do that and still hook up to the stock computer (chip change obviously)? I'm just curious I guess, but it is a valid question.

I'd say one of the 4bbl TBI units or maybe even a dual TBI setup could make at least as much as a carb in a 500 hp setup. Please note that this is just an opinion and I have no dyno runs or magazine articles to back it up.

there are some bog *** throttle bodies out there for race cars..i am sure that they have them that can make 500hp pretty easily. i have seen them as high as 2,000 cfm. but i think that it may have been direct injection, i dont remember.
