TBI/TPI

i know onw is carburated and one is fuel injected right? but what makes the TPI so much better as 5.0 305 than the TBI

they are both fuel injection. The TBI is set up to look like a 2 barrel carb but it has 2 fuel injectors on top of each barrel. Since the air and fuel go through the whole intake, we call this a wet flow system. The TPI has 8 injectors, one for each inake port. There is no fuel running through this intake, the fuel is shot directly into the cylinder heads, this is called a dry flow system. The TPI is "better" because it was set up to be from the factory.
