HP for a 350 TBI

Just out of curiousity, how much horsepower does a stock 350 push with TBI. I have looked around but can't seem to find the info seeing our cars didn't really come with the option. Does anyone have any good guessing to where it may be around?

My 92 caprice cop car was rated at 205 hp/ 300 ft lbs from the factory, not sure exactly what RPM's but I know they are low down.

Ya, I don't feel bad really, but wish it would be faster. I get pretty good times at the track I spose, I was running 9.51 which was faster than my buddies 95 z28. I was happy.

Hmmm, I don't believe that one bit. No offense. I think it is just a plain jane 350. I don't even believe the corvette's come with TBI, or do they?

They came with a cross fire injection setup in the early 80's, but never actual TBI to my knowledge.

Ya, well, the 350 in the car is also a 1991. That is why I am saying, there is no way it's a vette motor......it's throttle body injected. Nor is it any kind of LT1 or better. Also, if I had the vette motor, I would sure hope my car wouldn't be as slow as it is now.

But ya, I thought for sure they didn't have TBI's.

Man, I wish we had a big third-gen meet over here in Virginia. I would love to attend and ask a billions of questions and get ideas from people on how to make her fast as hell.

BMonteSS is the one to talk to. He lives in West Virginia, IIRC.

Not really

The L69 makes 240 ft/lbs @ 3,200 rpm and 190 HP @ 4,800

The L05 truck engine makes 310 ft/lbs @ 2,400 and 210 HP @ 4,400.

Give it a prom equivalent to the L69 and the L05 will make 230 HP @ 4,500 and 340 TQ @ 2,800. The stock TBI prom should be thrown in the trash or burned.

Give the L05 the L69 cam instead of the old 929 cam, higher flowing exhaust, dual snorkel air cleaner, hotter prom and it will pull out about 40 hp more.

i have a 1991 vette motor in y car. and i have a tbi. vettes never had a tbi. they were all tpi. the owner switched the injection set up on my car. maybe the same for you. my block casting read 10493638 and then the vin of the vehicle should be stamped behind the alternator. along with the manfactured date code. on a flat block plate. i took my numbers to a chevrolet dealer. they said it was made in flint michigan. it was made on april 12 1990. and was in a 1991 vette. look behind the passenger side of the motor. get all your numbers. and goto the chevy dealer.
