Snuf, OT but need driveshaft help

Snuf, I need a GM part number (well, Spicer would be better, if ya got it!) for an output yoke on any 700R4 2wd application. Perferrably a comomn one. I will then take the data (spline count/diameter and seal dia) from that yoke and cross-ref it to the 1310 series u-joint I NEED in my app.

I posted it here cause I knew SNUF WOULD SEE IT HERE AND HE HAS DEALER BOOK/Part number access!!! Please help snuff ASAP as I need dirveshaft this weekend! Also posted in tranny secion, too. thanks an later

Don't even ask what I did to my Jeep. Ouch.

Nah. I put my axles back under the springs, right. 6.0" of lift from that. Then, I put in some Rancho lift springs, about 2.5 more lift. Unfortunately, I put the wrong driveshaft in, well, had a buddy put it in but I gave him the wrong one. he said the slip yoke was far enough into the TH700 to be ok. So, the Rancho spring pack bolt is a little more rearward than the non-lift springs I use and combine that with the 2.5 more lift, the slip-yoke was not in far enough. Needless to say, when the Jeep gets airborn, the axle drops A LOT and I was in such a rush to get out for a party that I did not install the limiting straps (only let axles go down so far...) Well, driveshaft came out of the tranny. it's a good thing that I wasn't under any power when the yoke was barely in or coming out or I would have trashed the output shaft/splines of the tranny, but it looks cool. I'm just gonna replace the d-shaft, the output "bushing" in the tranny (or replace the tailpiece, whatever I got to do) and the dual exhaust which is ruined from a whiping driveshaft, the the pinion yoke on the rear end. that other motor I got in their goes ok. 600cfm carb to boot. Mileage is not good, though. Actally, it is a 300hp HO shortblock from a few years ago which is the same as yours, the ZZ4 heads pretty stock and COMP XE262, i blieve.

FB, just got finished reading you reply on the prom board and have one question. How is the hot cam that much different than the one in the 350HO crate engine? A little duration, a little more lift but it also has a 112* lobe separation angle so it doesn't really seem it would be to much different that what JP has to go thru.

The ramp speeds are MUCH faster (.492 lift [vs .435 on GMPP cam] on intake and exhaust with only 6 deg more duration on the Intake side!) on the Hot Roller cam. ie, lower vacuum. trust me, I ran the cam for about a week before I decided to try the XE250 and take a baby step up from the Edelbrock 3702 cam. It was a wise move. I guess I could have just tried some generic quick fixes, but I am quite new to GM TBI and wanted to learn in the way I thought would be best/quickest... ???

On a sad note, i just decided to put the Jeep up for sale, JeepsUnlimited.com. The TBI will be going with it so I will be TBI-less for a while... Not sure what I am to buy, maybe some stock. No pix yet but soon.. email me with what you think of that post, if you feel like checking it out... later.

Did you leave anthing out or are we to bid on it. I'm not in the market but you might want to put an asking price on it. Maybe not.

Steve

P.S. Hows IPIX doing on the market. I hear it might start going back up. Is it possible to make a good investment in stocks with only $500 ?

If you have my 800 number, still, call me at work. I'll help you out. If you don't have it, email me... later.

I guess I should put a price in there, huh? Might scare some people away otherwise. Thx.
