WOuld L98 heads work well on our LO3 engines?
I have picked up a decent l98 cam for my car.
I can also pick up a pair of L98 heads in good running shape for $100 shipped. They have larger valves than our heads. I am referring to the cast iron heads not the aluminum ones. The heads are 64 cc chambers with 72o center bolt hole angles. I was considering milling them down to 55cc or so. Is this doable?
Alternative idea is to pick them up and get them ready along with a 350 short block with
non roller cam and a deep breahing state of tune and then telling my wife that I have to replace the engine to fix my leaky at startup valve seals.

Yeah you can make them work, I use the vortech heads and they come with the same size chambers. I know they are not the best flowing heads but I think if you get them milled they will help.

If you mill them down that much, wont you have problems getting them to bolt to the intake?
Try to find some 305 TPI heads. Or better yet, put the money towards a roller 350 block.
