TBI GUYS, Pick up a CHP June 2007
50 HP & 45 Ft/Lbs increase. Just as the title says. They've got an L69 HO. Haven't been able to read the article yet but it looks pretty awesome. Just another point racked up for Carb.

The CHP website has an article about a 4 barrel TB but its a PFI unit. This is the May issue currently on the website.

The actual artice on the hp and tq gains are on a 84 Z28 with the L69 HO carbed engine. They did a heads, cam and full exhaust change to gain the 50hp and 45lb/ft at the wheels.

I jumped to conclusions again. Scratch the TBI and if mods would move to Carb forum that would be wonderful. Joined: Apr 2004

i think they could've done ALOT better with that 84 if they put the money to better use.better exhaust, ported the 601's and a better intake.I was kinda disappointed with their results.I wonder if the guy with the 383 is one of us here?

Re: TBI GUYS, Pick up a CHP June 2007
I am going to have to agree. The heads they used are very nice but a little work to the stockers and a larger cam would have provided greater power gains with far less coin. None the less the write up on the new trick flow heads was very interesting.
