all right... i just bought this throttle body off a guy that said it has been sitting for 2 years... no problem put it on my car and tried to start it but nothing. i figured it wouldnt work but hey i can try. so i took it off and had my buddy rebuild it with new screens and gaskets and what not...so i put it back on the car and re-connect everything and it does the same thing. no fuel going into the butterflys i take off the top plate and its getting fuel and everything. my buddy flow tested the injectors as well..could there be any other reason the injectors wouldnt be firing?? i checked the fuse and its good.. any help wouldnt be greatly appreciated!!!

Get some injector testing lights (I think I've heard them called 'noid lights before) that snap over the injector harness. Crank it and see if they're getting power pulsed to them (lights will light up). By the way, Mer De Noms is in my opinion one of the most significant albums of the past 15-20 years if not more

You dont even need the noid lights. Just clip a wire to the aligator clip of a test light, shove it into one of the pins on the injector plug and the point to the other pin. If theres no pulse, check behind the distributor there should be two plugs there. One goes to the computer to pulse the injectors, if it is not connected it wont start. Check if they're plugged in. I had that problem with mine. The sopcket was cracked on the ignition module so the plug was out.
i'll have to check that.. i checked the constant positive from the two wires on each injector they both have power and no start..
my car was broken into with the steering column broken where the turn signal lever is...is there anyway this could make the injectors not fire? with the steering column broken?

If the Column was tampered with then you might have a VATS problem.
yeah they broke off the black part on the side and you have to pull the aluminum piece to start it.. and sense it has the chip in they key that has to be in there or it wont even crank...
i ordered a new column from hawks third gen.. is this going to cause my problems with the new column?? how can i reset this VAT code???

When trying to crank the car see if the Security light is on and Flashing for 4 minutes. If not, Disregaurd the next paragraph.
You'd have to bypass the VATS system. Basically cut the wires leading to the steering column for the VATS system and solder a resistor betweent he two wires. Put your Key in a Vise and use a multimeter to get the resistor rating and then find a resistor within the range on the key and solder in place.
But before you do that, are you positive that the pickup coil plug in the back of the distributer is plugged in?
