Getting a new Daily Driver! how does this sound?
I'm getting a new car next month and I want it to be a good ,torquey daily driver as my car that I have now is getting to the point to where I can be the only person in the car. I don't want to get to crazy with this car, I just want to get it to be a good car with decent mileage. I already have most of the parts I can use so here's my plan. The car is a 92 L03 T5 camaro with 115,000 miles, a VERY clean car.
Ported and polished swirlies
B-body (vortec) cam
Stock tbi intake bored to 50mm
3.73 gears
B&m pro 5.0 shifter
with a good tune
ultimate tbi mods
tpi fuel pump
Hooker 2055's and edelbrock SDT catback
I think that's as far as I want to take it. What do you guys think? I might leave out the cam, I don't know I haven't fully decided yet. Like I said I don't want a race car just a peppy daily driver. So does this sound good? what else could I do?

Well, since you have a car you want to be fast, and this is your daily driver I wouldn't drop that much money on it. I would leave out the cam, gears, and bored out TBI. Keep your great stock gas mileage which should be approaching 30mpg on the highway with that T5 with stock gears/cam. Bored TBI isn't necessary until you get to more serious power levels, so that'd just be a tuning obstacle with nothing to be gained. Everything else is cool, the Pro 5.0 shifter is real nice, I have one, but I don't think B&M makes them. Pro 5.0 is the company's name I believe.

I won't be spending a whole lot because I already have like the heads, gears, intake, modded tbi and the vortec cam. I was thinking maybe just using the ported heads with the intake and 1.6 roller tip rockers for a good little boost. I also have a set of richmond 3.42's I figured would give alittle better mileage.
