those look pretty good. would probably be a PITA to install though, i have edelbrock TES headers on mine and they were a pain to get the passenger side on.

The general concensus of this forum, is either get the 2055-HKR or if you have a little more money, get Dyno Don's.
I would love to be able to get a good set of headers for that price, but, you get what you pay for. You pay less, you get cheap headers.
I hope somebody comes in and says thay have tried them, that would settle the matter more. Personally, I cant consider anything that doesent have A.I.R tubes.

Re: How are these headers for a 305 tbi
well i have them , ceramic coated on my car . i'm happy , but i'm a cruiser not a racer . they are not the best quality , but not the worst . i spent an afternoon and a 6 pack getting them ready . flanges had welding splatter , Y pipe connection at the Y needed to be opened/cleaned up . installation was not too bad , but not easy . i used mr.gasket copper gaskets , dead soft alum. on the Y pipe . you will need new bolts ( they may come with them ) i don't remember . 12 point bolts are best but hard to find . start torque from center cylinders and work outward , you will need to re-use stock bolts for alt. and a/c comp. and spacers . i used a handfull of 3/8 washers for spacers untill i cut some spacers from s/s 3/8 tube . start all bolts with fingers before any torque and don't forget locktite . 1 1/2 years no leaks 27-29 m.p.g. on hwy. with other mild mods. . good luck .

As mentioned above, you get what you pay for. Those headers are terrible. Their instructions should read.
Step One: Open Box
Step Two: Place in trash
I went through two sets of these and there were so many problems I don't have the energy to type them all out. Search under my user name and "flowtech headers". I have a detailed thread out there with pictures of their garbage-ness

Well, maybe if you beat the wife some more, you will be able to get some of Dyno Don's headers and y-pipe. They are probably the best set I have seen for a thirdgen, of shorties. They are high-dollar, but you gotta remember you are buying something hand-made buy a thirdgen enthusiast. Not by some machine in a factory. Maybe you could work out a deal for some un-coated at a lower price.

I have a set of 3" Hooker Super Competition Shortie Headers on my 305 TBI and they are awsome. Installation wasn't too hard, and they really open up the engine.
