Still throwing 33 at idle in gear.
Hey guys. Here's the situation. Built 355 (made 500hp using 850 dp) / Stock TBI / 4l60 e / 16168625 ecm.
EGR disabled thru the chip, countless hours of balancing iac / tps to get a stable idle and about 300 burns to date.
My problem is in-gear stalling. It's still a little rich at idle. I drive it anyways and tinker with the fuel and spak tables little by little when I have the time. I havent been too concerned because I have a modded 2" tbi and intake that I'm trying to find the time to bolt on.
It will idle all day long in park or neutral but after I put it into gear it will die after about 15-20 seconds. (code 33 high map). It starts right back up and runs great again. As long as you are moving faster than about 3 mph it wont do it. Any less than that, than you have to put it into neutral so it wont throw 33 and die.
It has a very stable idle at 1000 rpm (stable for what it is) It's not an issue that putting it into gear is lugging down the rpm. This was a very difficult motor to tune. It idles at about 60 - 65 map.
So if you want to use my truck...put it in neutral when you come to a stop light. other than that it has no other quirks! Any suggestions on tuning this anoying gremlin out....I'm going to wear out my shifter linkage if I keep driving it this way! LOL
Thank You, Brandon
