Idle adjustment
May seem trivial but is there any way to adjust the idle of a TBI unit without dealing with the computer?

Re: Idle adjustment
There should be a torx screw (probally behind a aluminum plug) on the front side of the TB. By the linkage assembely.

I don't have a pic on hand. If no one has a pic up for you in the next couple hrs. I will go home and get one for you and post it. Also why are you needing to adjust the idle?

Re: Idle adjustment
The idle is just above where i would like it to be. When warm it idle's around ~900-1000rpm. Just want to drop it a bit, nothing crazy.
Re: Idle adjustment
Idle speed is controlled by the ECU. The IAC devise allows a controlled vac leak by what is called steps. Lets say 900 rpms requires 20 steps out of 200 possible. It opens the air inlet slightly. Now you remove the safety on screw and back out screw. Butterfly closes a tad. ECU sees idle rpm is dropping and we need to maintain 900 rpms so it opens IAC allowing more air at 30 steps and back to 900 we are(stall saver). Now if you want to drop idle it appears you need to command like 15 steps with a change in .bin OR commmand to zero steps for IAC which might be 500 rpms and then use the throttle screw to set at 800(like I do).
