305 TBI truck torque

The old 88 k1500 305 spd is on her last leg. Want some TBI torque. What is a budget build low torque engine?

look in the stickies above using a low budget vortec 350 build and enjoy the tons of info

I was thinking an internal balanced 383 with stock heads and intake. Would vortec heads and intake be needed for low grunt? Would a LT4 cam be a low torque cam?
