Carb signal importance?

So I've been reading more and more about intakes and I keep coming across this thing called carb signal. This is the strong vacuum that pulls the fuel out of the bowl on the carb.

How important is this on our TBI equipped cars? I know we need a good MAP signal, but do we need the strong pulses of vacuum that is carb signal?

Re: Carb signal importance?

I don't think so, because the fuel in a carb system is drawn in by engine vacuum, but in a tbi motor, fuel is being pushed in by the fuel pump.
