89 Camaro RS 5.2L no power to fuel pump relay

my car was running well, i shut it off and came back out to start it back up and all it would do is turn over, i didnt hear the fp kick on so i tried to supply power to the aldl box to letter g to see if it was the fp still nothing, i replaced the relay switch, the ecu the oil sending unit, i have checked the 20 amp fuse under neath the right headlight, my vats system works fine light comes on and the then goes off, but i did notice the the service engine light doesnt come on anymore when you just put the key to the on position it used to come on like the security light and then go off..anyone know of anything else i havent checked i have a new fuel pump but havent put it in yet...

Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) see if you have power on pin A of the pump relay orange wire.

It doesn’t matter what position the key is in.

Is there power there?

You said you “checked the 20 amp fuse under neath the right headlight” in post #1.

Along with a visual check use a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe both sides of that fuse.

Is there power both sides?

The power failure on the pump relay is not related to the igy switch.

Also you didn’t mention if you had power on both sides of that fuse.

And…… the ‘ECU’ is powered thru that same fuse.

10-4 on that.

Because if you have power on both sides of that fuse, the only thing it can be is a broken wire or bad contact.
