What is the loudest sounding muffler for a bone stock 5.0 tbi? I know the motor is a dog but id like it to sounds like it runs 9's.


the motor is getting ripped out next winter but for now i might as well make it a reverse sleeper car

 

dont run a muffler then. mine as well not run an exhaust at all

 

straight pipes sounds goodor maybe cut outs

 

im running full length headers to dropouts. thats it

 

Basically no muffler. A flowmaster dumped before the rearend will be loud

 

I know a guy that ran a cherry bomb in place of a regular muffler, and welded a y pipe on it so he could have duel tail pipes. It sounded pretty sweet. I like loud.

I have a hooker aerochamber catback on my car, much louder than any flowmaster or magnaflow I've heard on these cars

 

I am assuming it is a chambered muffler.

 

i have the hooker aero chambers too its a little bit louder then flowmasters not much imo. will be much louder once i put my headers on. man cant wait

 

yeah its a chambered muffler. I also don't have a cat either and i noticed the car got much louder after i removed it. obviously headers will help bring up the volume too

 

Another vote for the Aerochamber. Nice and mellow during cruising. Doesnt have that Flowmaster drone. It's very nice when you hit the throttle, very nasty indeed.
