injector problem

i did the adjustable fuel pressure mod and put new gaskets on. put everything together and worked perfectly. later in the day the whole car started vibrating and i checked under the hood and looked at the injectors and saw one spraying in a cone and the other was just trickling fuel. i checked the fuel pressure an it was steady at 11.5 which was the same before the mod. my thought is a piece of old gasket got stuck on that injectors. would the small filter on the injector save it or could it have gotten damaged?

Re: injector problem

TBI injectors are tough and usually hold up very well. Check injector connector - make sure that there is no bad connection before tearing fuel injector pod apart.

Re: injector problem

sounds like maybe a particle is plugging up the screen on the injector.

Re: injector problem

Really should start your own thread about this. Sounds like your getting too much fuel. That would cause the black smoke and engine shaking.

Re: injector problem

so i took apart the injector pod removed the injector and noticed a rip in the rubber gasket replaced it and i rotated the filter screen and it works perfect now. and to adilson delima ur fuel pressure regulator may not be set correctly causing u to get more fuel
