real time help needed

Help, 93 350 fbi won't turn over. Good fuel pressure, good cranking, fuel is getting to bowls, just no spark. Currently stuck at truck stop south of chicago.

Thought it was a fuel temp, vapor lock issue but it has been sitting for an hour and I vented the tank.

Engine is out of a chev truck and is in a 78 land cruiser. Any help appreciated!!!!

Sounds the ignition control module, it is under the distributor cap. Make sure you don't drop the screws, mine went out on the highway last summer and i dropped one of them and ended up spending a few hours trying to find one at parts stores.

Re: real time help needed

I am shopping now for a ICM, coil, dist and rotor, all are original and could use a refresh. Adv Auto and Autozone is nearby. With luck I should be moving again in the AM. Any tricks or tips to knock this out with as little pain as possible.

Well oreilly/advance/autozone will all stock a brand new distributor usually. The coil if ac delco (stock) i would not change it until I knew it was bad. because well the aftermarket ones are junk. Good luck

Re: real time help needed

UPDATE: I got an ICM, Dist, Rotor and Coil from the local Autozone (22 mi bike ride, round trip). Replaced the ICM, Dist and Rotor hooked it all up and tried again. Nothing. Replaced the coil next and got the same result. no spark. Back to square one, and plan B.

I flat towed the vehicle to my destination. Thank you for all your suggestions.

I am wondering if the problem is in the computer. What other options are there???

I may take it to the local garage for a diagnostic scan and repair due to very limited time to work on this.
