hello there i swapped my LO3 for a LO5 slighty built ,mild cam 305 heads(.60ovr with stock int exh valves) edelbrock intake, Jegs headers , and i left the 305 throttlebody on at swap (with ECM) and it ran fine a little rough idle but thats it. So now i want to release the inner beast of the 350 so i ordered the EBL flash and i am getting ready to get a new throttlebody but i cannot find a website that sells TBI throttle bodys!! so i was wondering, do 350 fuel injectors swap in on 305 TB? if so what is needed to be done or.... what websites sell TB units (everything though fuel injector, pod,ect) Thank you all for your help.

ok so i should be fine them with just getting 5.7 fuel injectors then correct? i am going to go with the 61 fuel injectors because of the 305 heads on 350(dont want no knock) is the pressure the same? as in i dont have to change anything else just swap in fuel injectors and start motor? just swap the injectors out in the throttle body. IMO i would go ahead and mod the fuel pressure regulator so you can adjust the fuel pressure up slightly, it'll help the car run better/stronger, yet use more gas. Thier is a sticky for this I believe it is in the ultimate tbi mods...I think you messed up running the 305 heads on the 350, depending on the engine, the combustion chamber sizes are different and that will affect the compression ratio

 

That is the point of the heads on it for compression.

 

A better flowing head on it would have been a better choice the compression bump up isnt worth the loss of air flow

 

Correct but this motor never reaches above 4500rpm. Ported heads btw I mean not much better but better than stock. Run Em? U live in mantweka I live in methdesto were close

 

And by the way every where Iam looking says the 5.7 TBI fuel injectors are 55PPH is that correct? I thought they were 61pph? Some one correct me please

 

The injectors from 5.7 pickups and vans that end in 206 are rated at #55. Cop car ones supposedly #66 but much harder to come across

279 refers to the last three numbers on the 305 injectors

I'm not here to start an argument, I'm here to get help before I dump $2000 of hard earned cash into my engine bay. So please bare with me. I'm new to this tbi stuff.

 

Me neither we shuld be friends not enemies I just don't like hondas. Anyways do what most do swap ur 305 for a 350 keep all your accessories and go ebl flash. No ECM swapping or chip burning plug ebl flash in an start tuning it. I did my 350 TBI swap a year ago and ran ok on 305 ECM and fuel injectors. But now I am turning it into a real 350. And might be a little more than that depending on what you do... My project started 2 1/2 years ago.

 

It is also my daily driver that's why I went ebl flash. I have seen Some amazing numbers from 350 tbi's on it.

It's really the best of the best for your tbi and supposedly as said by MANY " it gets your tbi as good as it will ever come" so I had to finally order mine. I am tracking my package on ups like a hawk.

 

yeah i got mine a couple months ago, havnt done the full tune yet as i was fighting fuel gremlins. going to work on it some tonight

 

That is funny I am fighting fuel problems right now, my passenger Side fuel injector is dumping fuel out and actual drips of fuel are dripping off it my driver side fuel injector is perfect spray. That's why I decided to get ebl is because I decided to finally put a 350 throttle body on an I knew I was gonna need a tune so I wanted to do items right way. How modded is your engine? And how hard was it to get a tune going nice at first?

Check it out. And for self install you Need soldering skills. I got already installed ECM for extra $$ but well worth it if you don't wanna rip apart your ECM besides nice to have a back up ECM.

 

The colors are paint dabs on the center post of the injector. Over time the fuel fumes erases them. The codes shown are laser engraved on the top of the injector. The flow ratings are at 13 psi.

Thanks rbob for that. I thought 350 was that. I jus popped my hood took look at my 1 1/2 year old injectors on my tb and they are white but Slighty yellow looks like decoloration though from the fumes. Any how thanks all

 

consider FIC injectors for rebuilt units. FIC=fuel injector connection? Highly recommended.
