too many variables. what gears? what transmission? weight of car? I say with a decent gear 3.23-3.42, 700r4, stock weight car, and a stock 350 tbi running good. 14.4-14.8

and a good shifting transmission right? mid to high 14's

 

Who's to say what "a stock 350 tbi" is. It never came from the factory w/ one.

 

just a standard L05 or vortec

 

Ex. You know what we are talking about. You pull out your 305, and put in a 350 tbi, it is identical all accesories mount up. Stock is stock like you pull it out of something with a 350 tbi and put it into your car without doing anything performance to it.

I agree that there are just to many variables to this. Give us an idea of what is all going on with this build to help in our "guesstimates" lol.

 

Run it and find out. Seems the easiest way to me to find out.

 

Well I already told him what it will run but I guess he doesn't like my #'s much.

 

it is not going to be fast!!!!!!!!!!! a 14 would be cool for me. my build is a 350 with 193 heads with slight work, edelbrock tbi manifold, ultimate tbi mods, 180 therm, 4l60e with the 7427 with custom tune, long tubes, and magnaflow catback. 3.23 gears. should be good for a mid to high 14.

 

That's about where it will be.

 

My 88sc had a 94 L05 stock motor. 308 gears in open dif with a T-5. Best I ran was 15.3.

 

I had an 88sc with a L05 out of a 94 pick up. Bone stock. 308 gears in open dif with T-5. Best I ran was a 15.3 1/4 mile. Hope that helps.

he said mid to high 14's I said from 14.4-14.8 which is mid to high 14's...lol...depending on variables and at least a 3.23 gear. with the 2.73s and a good running 350 tbi, good shifting transmission. your going to be around a 15.2-15.4

figure i ran a 14.8 with a **** poor tranny but i had headers,cam, and other small stuff with 3.08 gears at that time. then went to a 14.6 with 3.42 and a horrible transmission. then a good transmission and stall converter down to 14.2

 

another thing to remember also is that a good tranny (auto) will consume about 22hp to run. a standard around the 10 to 12hp mark.
