tps reading high ...
i just got my ebl hooked up about a week ago . been tuning it everyday . after the engine gets running it's fine .but on the start up it's rough as hell then settles in after about a minute . my tps is reading .6 at idle my ses light has been on also since this started . i elongated the holes in the sencer to give me some adjustment but .6 is as low as i can get it . is there a way to tune around this or do i need to rewire the sencer ? or any other ideas of how to fix it .
Re: tps reading high ...
well i thought an adjustment on a tps could be .54 to.6. in your case i am thinking not.
take the tps off the car, leave it plugged in, get a reading. if you can get.54 by use of your thumb you should be able to get it on you throttle-body. also..... as you depress that little lever slowly (TPS), check to see if the voltage is steady moving up in voltage. sometimes it will move down in voltage when supposed to be moving up.
I would try and set IAC also just to be safe

Re: tps reading high ...
.6 TPS reading is not an issue unless your TPS is only ever reading this. Hook up a volt meter and open throttle slowly all the way it should be a smooth glitch free reading to about 4.8 volts WOT.

yea it moves fine an rises like it's suppose to . before i opened up the holes bigger it was reading .8 so i opened up the holes so i could adjust it i'm gettting .6 now . but start up is rich an stumbles even when the car is warm . the light is giving the code foe high tps . i'm hoping rbob comes in on this thread with a how to stop the stumbling on start up . after avbout a min. of that it levels out an is fine .

The TPS High malfunction is based on barometric pressure. This is a strange way to test, but it does work. During a pseudo baro read the TPS, RPM, and MAP are used. If the TPS is reading too high the baro read will be too low.
Note this also depends upon the MAP sensor, so it too needs to read correctly.
Check what the barometric (BRO) reading does in the data log (need to do a dump of the log). It should be the actual at key-on, engine-off. Then during almost WOT and lower RPMs the ECM will do a pseudo baro read and adjust the barometric pressure value in the ECM.
The WUD Diagnostic display can be helpful in diagnosing the TPS. At key-on, engine-off observe the TPS data. Slowly move the go-pedal and make sure that the TPS is linear with it and doesn't jump at all.
For the too rich at start up, lower the values in this table:
Choke - AFR
Those are after-start enrichment values. As they are subtracted from the AFR so a smaller number is leaner. This enrichment decays out over a short period of time.
RBob.
