Car stalls when hot outside.

91 rs 350 tbi...I ran in to this problem last fall and it has started again. After long 100 mile plus drives while running the air conditioner on occasion while stopping at a stop sign or stop light the car will die upon take off. The engine does not sputter it just shuts off. No electrical power is lost when this happens and when the car is running I am at 13.5 volts good battery and good alternator. The car also stalled one time at around 75 mph. Each time the car stalls, I am able to restart it with no problem. This problem only seems to happen when the outside air temperature is very warm. I am leaning towards a fuel pump relay or maybe a coil....Every other sensor, fuel pump, and the engine are newer.

Thanks in advance..Jon

Re: Car stalls when hot outside.

something could be getting hot and cut out. a bad connection somewhere. it is going to be a tricky problem to diagnose. at least it restarts. but if it doesnt restart it will be easier to identify obviously. So in a sense you kind of want whatever is failing to fail. just hope your not out in the boondocks when it does. good luck.

Re: Car stalls when hot outside.

Is there a relation between oil pressure and fuel pressure? Will a bad oil pressure sending unit cause the fuel pump to shut off?
