IM having an issue with my 92 camaro 25th anniversary 305 tbi its stalling on me , it cranks up starts rpm jumps to 3000 then drops and stalls . If i give it gas it feels like its chocking ive replaced the fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, throttlr body sensor and map sensor now the car just turns on faster but still stalls ive checked the vacuum lines also now this all started happening after i put in a new elderbroock air filter im a complete noob but as you can see i am learning after ive done all those new parts but i do remember being told to watch out and not let the air filter rub the coil could this be the problem? thaty my air filter rubbed against the coil and messed it up?

 

interesting problem. did you remove the air cleaner and try starting it?

 

yes replaced all vacum lines as well as map sensor throttle body sensor , cap and rotor and oil prrssure sensor as well as fuel filter maybe its my fuel pump idk

 

When I first bought my car it would only run while spraying TBI cleaner down the unit.Turned out to be the fuel pump.See if you can keep it running a little longer with the spray and watch the injectors for sputtering.If the spray works than its time to test the fuel line pressure.Also if its a drop base open air element than you may need a 1/2in. spacer to raise it up a bit.They sell plastic ones at Auto Zone,etc. and the best aluminum ones at Jegs Performance, part #128-72250 = http://www.jegs.com/i/B%26amp%3BB/128/72250/10002/-1
