Can unplug the 4-wire connector at the distributor to prevent the ECM from firing the injectors (so it doesn't flood). Then test for spark at the coil & plugs.

Be sure to change the flag for the MAP sensor in the calibration. If set for 3-bar and using a two bar it will likely flood.

Assuming the no-start is due to a lack of spark, coil, cap, rotor, & ICM are the ones to look at.

RBob.
you need fuel, spark, compression.

normally don't just lose compression.

you sure you have fuel all the way to injectors and out of them?

more than likely your culprit is the ignition control module. i carry a spare in my car at all times.

my fuel pressure gauge shows 10 after priming . this problem comes an goes . one day it won't start .leave it alone a day or two an go try an it fires right up . i started it mulitpule times for four days straight an on the fifth no fire . i had this happen once before a couple years ago an it turned out to be the controle module . but keep throwing otrher ideas at me just incase . it's been two bad weather to play with the car the past few days but hopefully monday i can test a few things

Could also be the two-wire pigtail between the coil & ICM. The wire likes to break inside of the insulation where it exits the coil connector.

ok i started checking for spark at the number one plug . i have a faint flicker of a spark . so that would be the coil then instead of the icm correct ?

Re: got fuel but won't fire ...

I assume plugs are gapped correctly .. So .. I'd say got to auto parts store and buy a 10-15$ multimeter if u don't have one .. Then u can check parts like coils tps sensors o2
Sensors etc. usually u can find out what the voltage should b on the web ... Trust me a multimeter can save u ALOT of $ over the years instead of throwing parts at cars with no luck which I also did for a few years as well .

Re: got fuel but won't fire ...

sounds like a pickup coil to me. search for test procedure, I don't know the specs off hand but you will need a multimeter that can read resistance and AC voltage.
