Engine turn off when I change gears...
Hello,
first sorry for my bad english but I hope you will undestand me what i want explain to you
I have problem with my Trans AM WS6 1992.So the car run great the problems come when i stop in junction,traffic lights or just i want parking somewhere, when i change gear from D to N or R rpms make big drop and then engine is off. I Repeat this happens only when the car stay on one place with engine on...
Please help me

Yes only when the car is in idle and only die when i change gear from D through N and when i change it to R the car is die.Same from R through N to D and engine die. Please take note when car is driving and i want change from D to N and I back to D there no have problem

If it ONLY dies when you're changing gears, I'd be looking for defective wire harnesses that are being pulled/pushed/disturbed as the engine rocks on the motor mounts.
For that matter, defective mounts might allow excess engine/transmission movement.
If the engine doesn't idle correctly WITHOUT changing gears, I'd have said to look at the Idle Air Control and idle speed in general.
My suspicion is that the engine simply doesn't idle properly, changing gears may make the engine stall, but even without changing gears the idle isn't right.
