I have a 89 camaro rs TBI and after sitting for 2 years but had been started and ran in the time I finally got it out again put a new battery in and it will crank but only start if you spray gas or carb cleaner in the carb but dies after like 2 secs and I have a security light on that was never on before.

 

Smells like VATS is locking you out.

Are your injectors spraying?

 

Yep, runs two seconds and then dies + security light sure sounds like VATS problem.
