NOS-05153 is made for TBI 5.0 liter cars...and trucks itll work fine and its around 550$ for an 100-150 shot ...youll kill the motor eventually running n2o the lo3 cant take it

Why can't the lo3 take nitrous? As I understand it the lo3 has basicily the same type internals as the production 350. I dont think GM made the lo3 any weaker just because it was a low output motor which was due to crappy selection of heads and cam. If you have a good fuel pump and regulator, good ignition system, and common sense (dont use above the recomended 125 shot) nitrous should not be feared as something that will blow your motor into little pieces. I have friends who have used nitrous for years on their daily drivers with out problems. Nitrous gets a bad rap when guys using 150 shot hits on stock cars with worn fuel and ignition systems that could not keep up with that much nitrous scatter a motor.

Its reccomended no more than 75hp shot for a 305, and you won't ruin the motor if you've already done a head and cam change and intake.

I just read in a mag (can't remember which one) that NOS now makes a nozzle kit that is designed for wet flow intakes. It mounts on the air cleaner stud in the air cleaner, and sprays Nitrous and Fuel from the top like a TBI does.

My wife works at Barnes & Noble and brings me home free magazines. I'll have to hunt through them to find it, then I'll let you know about it.

I don't sound like a bad deal. It's designed for cars like ours that have very little hood clearance. Although IIRC, it's designed for 4 barrels.

I'll let ya'll know,
AJ

Here's the link to the NOS web site.

http://www.nosnitrous.com/HiOctn/Pro...densystem.html

And here's a pic.

It does say that it's for 4 barrel carbs, but I bet it could be modified. After all, that's what we all do so well!!!!!!

where could i get a NOS kit that would only give me a 75hp shot? that sounds reasonable and probably wouldnt be to hard on the engine...id say 100 would be rough on a 305 TBI exspecially with 100k miles on it like mine...i would like to have a 75 shot...would give me more than enough boost to take a 5.0 mustang hell maybe even a 4.6 GT

Did you go to the site above?

If so you'll see all the part #'s. If you click on the 'Online Catalog' section up top, then 'GM EFI' section on the left, they have a 75-150 set up for TBI.

Just copy that part # and go to www.summitracing.com, go into the 'Online Catalog' option at the top, then click on the 'Manufactures Part# Search' on the left task bar. Look for "NOS" in the list, then enter that part #. It'll give you a price, etc.

TBI305CAMARO....I wouldnt go picking on any 4.6 GT's unless you have more done to your car than a 75 HP shot, but who knows, if you know how and when to use it anything is possible. I forget who said it but I remember reading on this board that a stock 305 can take a 100 shot and a stock 350 can take a 150 shot without any worries if your fuel and ignition systems are running right. I would think if you know what your doing you could run nitrous all the time and not have to worry about breaking anything.

I'm not saying that's right or wrong, because every motor is different, but I am saying take everything you read on this board with a grain of salt.
