Who still does mail order tunes for TBI?

Sorry it's not in a third gen but this forum is a wealth of TBI knowledge so it seemed like my best option. I recently built an engine for my TBI pickup (1990 k1500) and will most likely need a tune but am unsure who still does them and where my best option will be. Engine specs are .040 over 350, vortec 062 heads, 88 Corvette stock hyd roller cam, jegs carb intake, eBay adapter, ultimate tbi mods, 15 psi fp spring and vortec fuel pump. Any thoughts on my best bet for a decent tune?

Re: Who still does mail order tunes for TBI?

Do NOT use Scott Hansen!!!!!!! I made that mistake a few years and it was a disaster. All I wanted him to do was change the tune for the new LS injectors and then tweak a few things. Nothing major. The car ran worse and after contacting him, I got nothing but an attitude from him. I then purchased prom burner equipment and was able to look at the "tune" he provided. It was terrible. I worked with a member here who verified that Scott didnt do anything more than what you would expect from Hypertech or JET.
Scott offered to help me dial it in and asked for some datalogged files. They were sent and he flipped out on me for sending him more than file. I got my refund from him and with help from a member here, I was able to dial in a custom tune for my car that gave me a very noticeable improvement over Scotts tune.

Since it’s a mild build might want to get a moates.net xtreme aldl cable.
a reliable cable with 10k switch will be needed to work with $42 mask 747 ecm.
moates offers a dip socket service to upgrade to a sst27sf512 instead of old uv 2732a chips.
or you can always go dynamic efi ebl.

you might come out best with the Holley sniper. it self tunes and is way better than older tbi systems in my opinion.

The sniper and fitech are definitely options I've considered but it just doesn't fit in the budget right now.
