Fuel Injectors not firing HELPPP
So last sunday I bought a 91 Firebird Formula 305 TBI. It seemed like a great car and the prev owner had replaced a significant number of engine components. He hadn't driven it in a while and took it out for a drive a few days before selling it to me and it was fine, I drove it on Sunday and then started the 3 hour drive home. Made it 2 and a half hours when the engine just shut off. Didn't sputter, didn't rev up, just died. I towed it to a shop, they said fuel was not firing and it was an issue with the ecm. I towed it home, and the previous owner said to check the VATS and the resistors were not giving the proper resistance, so I replaced that then tried it, It still didn't fire up. I shot some starter fluid in there and it started as long as i kept spraying. I hotwired the ingition hot wire to the fuel injector wires and it started for like 3 seconds. I tried again and it didn't start. I am going home soon and will post to this thread if I am getting fuel pressure at the tb, but I can't hear it priming. I have not checked the relay. I also know that the fuel injectors with click with a 9v battery, but I dont hear it when I try starting it. ask any clearifying questions. Im 17 and new to cars but I am taking autoshop at my highschool (2004 audi a6 engine swap is my current project)

Re: Fuel Injectors not firing HELPPP
If fuel pressure is 10-12, and you have spark it sounds like you do. Pull the ecms prom see if it will blink a noid light or siren the injectors at that point. This forces the ecm into limp home mode. If that fires it up. You need to bypass the vats 1 of 3 ways.
