fuel problems
Okay first off the engine was just rebuilt and installed. All of the grounds are bolted to the heads, and vacume lines connected. The module was replaced and the ICM was tested and working. The injectors are pulsing and the fuel pump primes when the key is turned. The engine turns over but wont fire. There is spark and the car will run on starting fluid. There is fuel getting to the fuel rail. I have depressed the tip in the zerk fitting and fuel does come out.
I'm running out of things to check and have read all of the threads that sound like the problem I'm having. If anyone call give me any more things to test or try would be great.
Thanks for any help.

1. The engine spins;
2. There is apparently ignition;
3. The engine will run if you manually administer fuel (starting fluid).
It seems that there is no fuel supplied through the service injectors. You'll not only need to check the presence of fuel (depressing the valve core) but the pressure reading as well. It requires a bare minimum of 34 PSIG to start/run.
It would also be good to verify that the injectors are getting pulsed by the ECM.

That is my next step is to get a pressure gauge. I did test the ijnectors with a noid light and they all pulse. After I try and start the engine I can hear the injectors clicking. Why do they click after I stop trying to start the car?

Hade the same problem and it was a crack in the rubber fuelline in the tank between the pump and the hard line,didn,t see it first but it was a thin crack in the rubber.If you dont get over 20psi take your time to remove the tank.

The rubber fuel line that was mentioned is it located inside the tank or outside? I will check that out but it sounds like the fuel pump took a dump. I have to drop the tank anyway.

It is inside so you have to take the tank down,if you swapping the pump swap the rubber lines to.I did not, and when i crank the fuelpressure up to 50psi the rubber line broke down after a few miles.

Okay this weekend I will be dropping the tank. Tonight I removed the cap from the FPR and the diaphram. The diaphram is in two pieces and the bottom layer near the center was falling apart. Just want to know if this is normal or is the FPR in its crappy stage a result in the injectors not pulsing because the pressure is to high and bleeding back to the tank. Just want to know if the FPR is the problem and won't waste time with the fuel pump.
I do remember reading in one of the different threads about a blown FPR that creates high pressure resulting in fuel bleed off.
Looking for clarification thanks.

Ok if it was me i would for sure fix the diaphram first,it should not be in two pieces.I think it can block the fuel if it is lose.

The FPR is replaced. The FP is a steady 41psi. the car still wont start. I removed the driverside valve cover to see if oil is pumping through push rods and the push rods still have the white grease in the rockers and no oil has pumped through yet. I wonder what I have to do or check to get oil to pump through the engine. The oil pressure gauge taps out when trying to start the car and i know that if the oil pressure is not there then the car won't start.
