do a junk yard 3.42 posi. i for get what the thread was, but i outlined how to get a complete 3.42 posi rear for $350 or less. the issue with a 4th gen rear is that it is wider, and will make your wheels stick out a bit. you can do a 3rd gen V6 rear for really cheap.

I found it on the classified board over on camaroz28.com . The guy was in PA and deilvered it for like $40 or something...
