ive got a bone stock 89rs tbi with auto trans. what would be the best thing i could do for about 300 bucks?

I got a 4th gen rear (3.42 posi) for $325 delivered. That'll be a huge help.

do a junk yard 3.42 posi. i for get what the thread was, but i outlined how to get a complete 3.42 posi rear for $350 or less. the issue with a 4th gen rear is that it is wider, and will make your wheels stick out a bit. you can do a 3rd gen V6 rear for really cheap.

I found it on the classified board over on camaroz28.com . The guy was in PA and deilvered it for like $40 or something...

 

Try to get a posi rear wirh 3.42 or 3.73 gears. That'll WAKE YOUR CAR THE HELL UP.

Otherwise, a high flow cat and a cat-back isn't a bad place to start.
