the throttle on my tbi unit is sticking. when i detach the cable it seems to move freely and when i turn the linkage it retuns freely but when i reattach the cable it wants to hang up around 2000 rpm. i have adjusted the iac and it doesnt help. the linkage will return to the throttle stop if i move it by hand. would a carb linkage return spring help.

Take the cable off of the TBI linkage, and then pull back the plastic protection sleeve that protects the end of the cable. Put a few drops of motor oil down the cable and you should be good to go. Go ahead and put a few drops one the linkage too.
