Help a lazy guy w/oil leak?

I'm not actually lazy, just time-starved, actually. There is oil spritzing up onto my distributor cap, the bottom of the back of my air cleaner base, onto back of throttle body, collects on back of intake manifold, it runs down onto the front of the tranny and back of oilpan, you get the idea. Not a huge leak, but I want to fix it.

Haven't had time to take a good look around - do you think it's the distributor's gasket? Is there anything else that could allow a leak to spray up in that area? Thx for advise!

I had a mystery leak like that one time on my 350. It turned out to be coming from the block just behind the intake manifold. There is a hole there for if you have a mechanical oil pressure guage. If you have the electric one like most people do nowdays the hole I'm talking about usually has a little pipe fitting in it to stop it up. But on mine it was loose and oil was leaking from it. It was a real bitch finding it. If I were you I'd start the engine and look at everything really close while its running because if you just look after you drive it the wind blows the oil everywhere and you cant really see where it came from. Good luck.

By the way Joel, hows that air cleaner working for you? I'm looking for one to fit on my 91 TBI camaro that will require no modifications in order to fit under the hood and fit around linkage and whatnot.

It works great and installation was simple. Besides having to drill out the embossed hole for the IAT sensor, the old stuff came out and the open element dropped in.

If you're still looking, you can find cheaper (ie $20 instead of $40) ones if you don't need it to say "Edelbrock" or "K&N" on top. And I've heard some discussion here re. not using a drop-base (sitting on the odd spacer ring that's on top of the throttle body, like the stock cleaner) open element because of better flow with a non-drop. Until I see some measurements, I'm not sure the difference is huge enough to make it worth an imperfect fit.
